However, when the Papal Church abandoned Orthodoxy in 1054
It was as if the Saint were protesting and saying to them: "Gentlemen, you are mistaken!"
The incorrupt relics of Saint Nicholas were kept in Myra in Lycia and were later transferred to Bari in Italy. During the Divine Liturgy, myrrh would flow from the Saint's feet! They would place vessels beneath his feet, and myrrh would come out...
The clergy would prolong the Divine Liturgy as much as possible (making it slower, in other words) so that they could collect more myrrh. They gathered entire vessels full of myrrh!
However, when the Papal Church abandoned Orthodoxy in 1054 (the so-called Schism) and established its own separate church, and a Papal priest officiated there, Saint Nicholas stopped producing myrrh! The flow of myrrh ceased...
It was as if the Saint were protesting and saying to them: "Gentlemen, you are mistaken! Return to the Orthodox Church to receive God's blessing!"
Why do the Papists conceal these events and stubbornly remain distant from Orthodoxy?
Seeing that the Saint had become "inactive," the Papists sold his relics to the Russians—despite falsely claiming that the Saint's relics are kept in a cenotaph in the Vatican. Nothing... The Saint is not there at all; he was sold to the Russians.
