BROTHERS… WHAT DO WE HAVE TO LOSE?

Since we’ve already tried everything… let’s try THIS too… the ONE thing… the LAST thing!!!

BROTHERS… God is not unjust — WE are the unjust ones!!! We have exactly what we deserve… in fact, probably something far better than what we truly deserve. So let’s just say it, let’s admit it once and for all: IT’S OUR FAULT. Let’s say it and admit that we are worse — yes, worse — than those who rule over us and govern us. Let’s admit that we are the worst of all. Do we agree?

If that helps… then count me as the very worst. Let’s throw the entire blame on ourselves for every evil that is happening. If that helps… let me take the biggest share. And if even that doesn’t help… then think of someone close to you… think of yourself… think of me… and ask: “If HE had power… if SHE had power… if I had power… if I were in charge… what would happen?”

Exactly, brothers… not even worth thinking about.

Since, then, we have already tried everything… let’s try this too: “I am to blame for everything.” Let’s take it all upon ourselves. Meaning: if I were righteous, none of these evils that are happening around us in our days would be happening at all. Let’s not think this is exaggerated or strange. This is exactly the kind of thinking and this is exactly the way of life the Saints had and followed. Of course we are not saints… but at least let us imitate the Saints in this one thing. It’s free. It costs nothing. No one can stop us.

Let’s try this too… What do we have to lose? We’ve already tried everything else, and nothing changes.

Great! We’ve made the good decision.

Now… when we are responsible for something, for some damage, for some evil… don’t we feel shame? Won’t we at least say “I’m sorry”? Won’t we shed a tear? Won’t we repent — according to the magnitude of the evil we’ve done?

So, considering today’s worldwide and universal evil, what ought we to do? How much should we weep? How much should we beg forgiveness? How fervently should we seek the mercy of God? How loudly should we cry out to the Holy Living God, the Creator of heaven and earth and of all things in them? How long should we fast and mourn? How many tears must we shed today — when the whole creation is burning, when the earth has dried up, when nuclear weapons are falling, when heaven itself withholds the rain, when blasphemy, heresies, Satan-worship, sodomy, the violation of nature, pornography, adultery, abortions, murders, crimes, lies, deceit, malice, egoism, self-love, shamelessness, wretched behaviour, works and insults… are all at RED ALERT!!!

We have exactly what we deserve, my beloved brothers… and actually, we don’t even have what we truly deserve.

Therefore it is fitting that we weep, that we cry out, that we confess, that we lament, that we fast, that we accuse ourselves for everything that is happening around us. I have no objection — let ME do it more than anyone.

Let’s try this too, brothers… so that one day our conscience will not reproach us saying: “You didn’t try THIS ONE HUMANLY SUPERIOR ACT.”

And let us wait… and see… what shall happen!!!
