Some people wonder to what extent we are distant from that which we ought to be... not based on human values or those of society... but based on the truth of life and the true purpose of our existence...
How many are... or are we... these people?... many?... few?... very many?... minimal?
Few... or even minimal are these people... and therefore this discourse... perhaps concerns... only these few... or even minimal...
The whole of humanity, regardless of beliefs... perceptions and traditions... has one and only prototype-original... and for which and in which man was created... according to "let us make man in our image and likeness"...
That prototype-original on the basis of which Adam was formed is the Lord and God and Savior our Jesus Christ... Perfect God and perfect man... The God Word incarnate through the Ever-Virginal Bloods of the Hyper-Holy, Hyper-Praised and Ever-Virgin Mary... by the good will of God the Father and the energy of God the Holy Spirit... The God Word made flesh... The ever with God the Father and God the Holy Spirit... One and Only God...
Within His One Church the Holy Catholic and Apostolic... and His Holy Gospel... we have... all that He is... all... whatever there is about Him... but also all that concerns Him...
Let each one of us therefore look... deep within his heart and conscience... how much truly... we are distant from Him... because precisely... this distance of ours is equal... to our distance from the Truth... from the true purpose of Life... from the Original and the Prototype on the basis of which we were created and to which we were called to resemble and to follow...
And because we all are not worthy to cover our endless distance from Him...
...condescending to our infirmity and weakness... He covered this distance... instead of us...
...Being Crucified... Nailed and Steady upon the Cross...
...so that we all may have the opportunity to reach Him and meet Him... being co-crucified... and participating in His own Passion...
...either as the thief on the right who repents and is saved... or... as the other... who unrepentant... is lost...
Thieves!... yes!... thieves we are!...
Because nothing belongs to us... nothing is truly our own... all that we have belongs to Him and all that we have... we stole from Him...
Our soul... the essence of our own existence... is His inspiration... our body... His creation... we came into this life... from nothing... from naught... by His own power... and we opened our eyes to a world... that is all His...
Our parents... the home... the family... the homeland... and all the fine things and the goods of the earth and of the whole world... are His... and only His... to Him they belong and He granted them all to us freely... and we.. instead of having the awareness and the testimony and the gratitude for this incomprehensible greatness of His own Philanthropy... Love and Providence... we behave as thieves... who stole foreign property and which they squander unrestrainedly... with irreverence... brutality... greed... and ingratitude...
We exercised every kind of disobedience and rebellion against His Holy Legislation... which He sealed with the Precious and Life-giving Cross upon which was nailed His Precious Body and which He watered... with His Precious Blood...
The Golgotha of the God-man Holy Lord Jesus Christ let it be our unique inspiration and Contemplation... the permanently fixed open Embrace of our God-man Lord... His Crucified Love... which invites all of us steady and motionless through the ages and awaits us...
... and whoever is deemed worthy to find himself and stand even for a little next to Him... at His side... will taste the True Repentance... from the Precious Fruit... the Precious Gift of the Tree of Eternal Life... from the very Immaculate Body and the Precious Blood of the Prize-giving God and Creator.. our Jesus Christ... as tasted then by that thief... who was co-crucified on His right... and with his Repentance Confession and Profession... he seized even at the end... in the sunset of his life... Paradise...
This thief... of Repentance... of the Love of God and of Truth... but also each one of us who will resemble him... are those... thieves who with their loot... enrich all the remaining people... and beautify life upon the earth... ...because this loot of theirs is God Himself... Eternal Life... and Paradise...
How much therefore do we distance ourselves, my brothers, from God?...
He is right next to us.. !!! Crucified for all of us!!!
It remains therefore only for us to decide... if we will find ourselves on His Right... like the wise thief... or on his left... like the unrepentant...
Only this small decision... He left for us!!!
Will we decide wrongly therefore?... or will we honor even now...
