We already have experience and knowledge from the joint prayers and co-eucharist – which are blatantly condemned by the Seven Holy Ecumenical Synods together with those [Synods] described below that likewise have an absolutely Orthodox and Ecumenical character and are therefore regarded in the conscience of the faithful as the Eighth and Ninth Councils – “in all those areas where cooperation is already possible”, and because wherever they find room and meet no resistance they push it forward little by little in order to overthrow the Church of Christ; and certainly, if He allowed it, they would already have succeeded!!!)

“If anyone dogmatises or preaches the procession of the Holy Spirit from the Son or introduces this addition into the Creed, let him be anathema.”

“If anyone honours the Roman See above all the other Churches and judges it to have authority over all, as it itself claims, let him be anathema.” (note: Hope that this won't happen with the New Roman See as bad)

“We decree and vote that no one… add to, subtract from, or alter the Creed of the Faith… If anyone should dare to compose another Creed or make an addition or subtraction to that which was handed down by our holy Fathers in Nicaea and Constantinople, let him be anathema.”

“For to say that the Spirit proceeds from the Son is the greatest blasphemy of the Latins, for which reason they were also cut off from the Church of Christ. Therefore those who think together with them or have unrestricted communion with them are anathema.”

These are the most exact and unaltered original texts of the two great Holy Councils of Constantinople of the 9th and 14th centuries, which remain unshakably in force in the Orthodox Church to this day.

Not a single word has been omitted or altered.

''Lamentation, mourning, and great sorrow. The Ecumenical Patriarch of the Orthodox Catholic Church, Fr. Bartholomew, has in essence joined the all-heretical Papism. With all the anti-Orthodox actions he continues to commit, and especially with the abhorrent events that took place in our days in Nicaea and during the so-called Throne Feast of the Ecumenical Patriarchate, the Patriarch presents the Pope as his superior. He constantly placed the Pope at his right hand, and in his addresses, he regarded the Pope as the canonical Bishop of Rome. Moreover, during the Patriarchal Liturgy, the Pope was commemorated as the "Most Holy Bishop of Rome."

In the past as well, when the then-Pope visited Lesbos to appear as a global philanthropist through his courtesies toward foreign refugees and migrants, Patriarch Fr. Bartholomew and Archbishop of Athens Fr. Hieronymos accompanied the Pope honorifically as his extras, with international publicity.

The Patriarch is extremely dangerous and must be deposed or declared fallen as soon as possible, because he disrupts pan-Orthodox unity while striving for a false unity with the Antichrist Papism. With the pseudo-holy Synod of Crete (June 2016) and his granting of pseudo-autocephaly to his personal pseudo-church in Kyiv from deposed, unordained, self-ordained, anathematized, and schismatic individuals, he has created many schisms throughout Orthodoxy. Short Biography: Gregory VI (secular name: Georgios Fourtouniadis; 1798–1881) was a prominent 19th-century hierarch who served as Ecumenical Patriarch of Constantinople twice (1835–1840 and 1867–1871). Known for his strict adherence to Orthodox tradition, zeal for the Church, and defense of canonical order, he issued encyclicals on marriage, monastic education, and doctrinal differences with the West. He firmly opposed innovations and maintained a rigid stance on ecclesiastical matters during a turbulent era under Ottoman rule.

Addressed to: Papal representatives (a delegation of abbots/envoys) sent by Pope Pius IX in 1868 to deliver an invitation for Orthodox participation in the upcoming First Vatican Council (1869–1870).


"For us Orthodox," he said, "an Ecumenical Council, Ecumenical Church, and true catholicity is and is called that holy and undefiled body in which—regardless of its numerical size—is purely summed up the teaching of the Apostles and the faith of every local Church, which was established and tested from the foundation of the Church up to the first eight centuries, during which the Fathers of the East and the West, along with the most holy and Spirit-inspired Councils, and those venerable Fathers whose writings are known to all and ought to become the infallible and safe guide for every Christian and bishop of the West who sincerely desires and seeks evangelical truth. Nicaea 2025: The Omission of the Filioque Does Not Indicate a Doctrinal Shift, but Is Part of the Vatican's Ecumenical Strategy

Public attention was drawn to the fact that Pope Leo XIV, during his meeting with the Ecumenical Patriarch in Nicaea (modern Iznik) in Bithynia—celebrating the 1,700th anniversary of the First Ecumenical Council—and at the Phanar during the throne feast of the Patriarchate (27–30 November 2025), recited the Symbol of Faith (the Nicene Creed) without the addition of the Filioque ("and from the Son").

This papal "concession" was greeted with particular enthusiasm by journalists and certain Orthodox theologians, who described it, among other things, as "a highly significant event offering new prospects and hopes for the path toward Church unity"!

Let us examine this papal gesture in its true dimensions:

First, recall that the Filioque was initially introduced only in Spain at the Third Council of Toledo (589 AD). From the early 9th century, the Franks sought to impose it throughout the West in the Creed, but it was rejected both by the Eastern Churches and by Rome itself. Pope Leo III clashed with the Franks at the Council of Aachen (809–810) and strongly opposed the alteration of the Creed. To counter Frankish insistence on adding the Filioque, he inscribed the Creed without the addition— in Greek and Latin—on two silver tablets and hung them in St. Peter's Basilica in Rome.

Later, Pope John VIII, in a letter to Patriarch Photios, accepted the condemnation of the Filioque at the Council of Constantinople (the Eighth Ecumenical Council, 879–880) as heretical teaching and its addition to the Creed as uncanonical, since it contravened the decisions of the Third and Fourth Ecumenical Councils. This alone refutes claims by papal supporters and certain Orthodox admirers of Rome that the East tolerated the Filioque for centuries without considering it a departure from ecclesiastical tradition. It is absolutely clear that as soon as the Franks attempted to alter the Creed in the West, both Rome and the East reacted strongly at the highest level (Popes Leo III and John VIII, Patriarch Photios of Constantinople, and the Eighth Ecumenical Council).

Unfortunately, however, the Franks' dominance in Rome overturned the patristic tradition, and in 1014 Pope Benedict VIII introduced the Filioque into the Creed—as explicitly acknowledged by the current Pope Leo XIV in his encyclical In Unitate Fidei (23 November 2025): "The statement 'who proceeds from the Father and the Son (Filioque)' is not found in the text of Constantinople; it was inserted into the Latin Creed only by Benedict VIII in 1014."

The immediate response of the Eastern Patriarchs to Pope Benedict VIII's arbitrary addition was to remove his name from the Diptychs of the Church of Constantinople and to break ecclesiastical communion with Rome—prior to the Schism of 1054.

Subsequently, Rome—now separated from the Church of Christ—defined the Filioque as a dogma of faith at the Fourth Lateran Council (1215) and officially accepted its addition to the Creed synodally. The Filioque is also mentioned in the "union" councils of Lyon (1274) and Ferrara-Florence (1438–1439), where those who dared deny the eternal procession of the Holy Spirit from the Father and the Son were condemned and rejected!

Thus, from that time until today, the Filioque remains an essential teaching for Rome, integrated into its dogmatic doctrine and obligatorily accepted by all the faithful. Indeed, it was imposed even on the Uniates, who maintain an external resemblance to the Orthodox but are essentially Roman Catholic.

However, after the Second Vatican Council (1962–1965)—in the context of Rome's entry into the Ecumenical Movement and its rapprochement with the "separated Christians"—Rome acknowledged the Eastern Churches' "sensitivity" on this issue without departing in the least from its dogmatic teaching:

Initially, it permitted Uniates to recite the Creed without the Filioque. With the start of the Theological Dialogue (1980), the same practice has been applied whenever joint liturgical meetings occur with Orthodox. Furthermore, even in Roman Catholic parishes in Greece, the Filioque is no longer pronounced in the Creed.

Yet note carefully: this does not imply a change in Rome's dogmatic teaching. The heretical doctrine of the procession of the Holy Spirit "from the Father and the Son (Filioque)" remains unshaken for the papists!

This is clearly stated in the 1995 document issued by the Pontifical Council for Promoting Christian Unity, titled "The Greek and Latin Traditions Regarding the Procession of the Holy Spirit," which attempts a reinterpretation of the Filioque in the perspective of "unity in diversity" between the two traditions and clarifies Rome's position on not reciting it in the Creed.

The document states, among other things, that "when the Creed is recited in Greek (or in ecumenical gatherings), the Catholic Church avoids adding the Filioque to the Greek formulation," and makes clear that "this does not constitute a denial of the Latin dogmatic tradition that includes the Filioque," explaining that "the decision to use or avoid the Filioque in ecumenical prayers does not alter the dogmatic position of the Catholic Church." It concludes that "when the Creed is recited in joint Catholic-Orthodox liturgies, the form without Filioque is entirely permissible and legitimate."

In this light, the 2000 declaration Dominus Iesus (6 August 2000) quotes the Creed without the Filioque out of respect for the "sensitivities" of Eastern Christians.

Yet note also that Pope Leo XIV himself—who omitted the Filioque in the presence of the Ecumenical Patriarch—on 29 November in Istanbul, after the reception and Doxology at the Phanar, attended a Latin Mass at Volkswagen Arena, where the choir properly sang the Creed with the Filioque in Latin: "Et in Spiritum Sanctum, Dominum et vivificantem, qui ex Patre Filioque procedit."

From the above, it is evident that the omission of the Filioque in Nicaea and at the Phanar is nothing new, nor does it signify any particular development in Orthodox-Papal relations—above all, it does not indicate rejection of the heresy and a return to patristic tradition. It is simply the consolidation of an existing practice and, primarily, a means of misleading our uninstructed faithful...

Without doubt, this papal "concession" fits into the ecumenical planning of the Second Vatican Council—a plan that certain Orthodox leaderships have accepted and follow in building relations with the broader Christian world.

During the three-day papal visit, the same "protocol" was observed as in previous papal visits to the Phanar (2006, 2014), with uncanonical conjoint prayers and incomplete concelebrations. We again heard repeatedly—even from Orthodox lips—the phrase "full communion." I wonder: when did the Fathers of the Church or pre-Vatican II Orthodox hierarchs ever use the term "full communion" in relations with non-Orthodox? For those unfamiliar with ecumenical terminology, note that the language of "partial" and "full" communion forms the foundation of the new ecclesiology of Vatican II (in the Dogmatic Constitution Lumen Gentium and the Decree on Ecumenism Unitatis Redintegratio)!

For anyone with basic knowledge of Church history and Orthodox ecclesiology, this teaching—expressed through such terminology—is utterly foreign. Yet it has now become entrenched in ecumenical encounters and is used freely by Orthodox who largely share the Vatican ecclesiology.

This year's visit of the Pontiff to the Phanar featured a subtle but extremely significant development in the terminology used for translating the term homoousios ("consubstantial") into English—a shift clearly indicating a change in dogmatic approach to this issue, as astutely observed by Professor Marina Kolovopulu of the Theological Faculty at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.

In conclusion, regarding the present matter: Pope Leo XIV's "Apostolic Journey" to Nicaea-Istanbul yielded a triple benefit for the distinguished visitor:

  1. By reciting the Creed without the Filioque, naive Orthodox—artfully guided by "professional ecumenists"—were thrilled by the supposed positive outcomes of inter-Christian dialogue that "persuaded" the Pope to remove the Filioque! They conceal, however, that the Pope did not depart in the least from the dogmatic teaching on the Filioque, which remains fully in force!
  2. Another brick was laid in habituating the Orthodox people to ecumenical terminology about "partial and full communion."
  3. Most importantly, the roadmap for "Church union"—as designed and methodically implemented by the Vatican and its fellow travelers—was preserved in full vigor.

Under these conditions, can we, as faithful Orthodox, truly be enthusiastic and joyful?

SO THAT WE DO NOT FORGET!!!

The history of the Roman Catholic Church and of the Vatican toward Orthodoxy is not merely a narrative of theological disagreements; it is a long chain of wars, betrayals, genocides, economic exploitation and secret diplomacy that stretches from the eleventh century until our own day. It all begins with the Schism of 1054, when Pope Leo IX and Patriarch Michael Cerularius mutually excommunicated each other, yet the true rupture was not theological; it was political and hegemonic. The Vatican desired world dominion; Constantinople refused to submit.

The first great act of violence came with the Crusades – and indeed from the very first ones.

Already during the First Crusade (1096-1099), the “people’s” crusades under Peter the Hermit and Walter the Penniless wiped out entire Jewish communities in the Rhineland, but when the regular crusaders of Godfrey of Bouillon and Bohemond passed through the Balkans, the first attacks against Orthodox began. In 1098 Bohemond seized Antioch, expelled the Orthodox Patriarch John the Oxite and installed a Latin patriarch. Antioch remained under Latin occupation until 1268.

The climax of the atrocity of the First Crusade took place on 15 July 1099 in Jerusalem: the crusaders, having captured the city, slaughtered almost the entire Muslim and Jewish population, but made no distinction even for the Orthodox Christians. On Mount Zion and inside the Church of the Resurrection thousands of Greek Orthodox, Armenians and Jacobite Syrians were massacred. The number of dead in Jerusalem is estimated at between 40,000 and 70,000 in just a few hours – tens of thousands of them innocent Orthodox who had taken refuge in the churches. The crusaders waded up to their knees in blood, as their own chroniclers write (Raymond of Aguilers: “in the Temple of Solomon the blood reached the knees and the bridles of the horses”). The Orthodox clergy were expelled, Patriarch Symeon II of Jerusalem was exiled to Cyprus where he died, and a Latin Patriarch was installed.

In the Second Crusade (1147-1149), while the main expedition failed, French and German crusaders plundered Orthodox regions of Asia Minor and Thrace during their passage. Louis VII of France and Conrad III of Germany allowed their soldiers to rob Orthodox monks and villages.

The Third Crusade (1189-1192) of Richard the Lionheart and Philip Augustus may have had Saladin as its target, but in Cyprus Richard seized the island from the Orthodox emperor Isaac Komnenos (1191), sold it to the Templars and then to Guy de Lusignan, beginning a Latin dynasty that violently oppressed the Orthodox population for three centuries: confiscation of churches, double taxes, prohibition of the ordination of Orthodox bishops without Latin permission.

The Fourth Crusade of 1204, directly instigated by Pope Innocent III and financed by Venice, never headed toward Jerusalem. Instead, the “crusaders” sacked Constantinople, the capital of Orthodoxy. For three days they massacred, raped nuns upon the Holy Altars, melted down sacred vessels to mint coins, burned libraries and turned Hagia Sophia into a Latin cathedral. The Pope, instead of excommunicating them, blessed them and accepted the stolen goods. From that moment the Eastern Roman Empire never recovered and fell in 1453 to the Ottomans – a fall that the Vatican secretly welcomed, because it eliminated its chief rival.

The next method was the Unia. From the 16th century and especially after the Union of Brest in 1596, the Vatican created artificial “Eastern Catholic Churches” (Uniates) that kept Orthodox liturgy but submitted to the Pope. In Ukraine, Romania, the Middle East, Jesuits and Dominicans, with money and threats, detached communities from the Orthodox Patriarchs. In the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth the Uniates became an instrument for the extermination of the Orthodox; thousands of churches were seized, priests imprisoned, the people forcibly Latinised. Even today the Unia remains the Vatican’s most insidious weapon in Eastern Europe.

At the Council of Ferrara-Florence (1438-1439) Saint Mark of Ephesus suffered absolute humiliation. The Latins, with bribes and pressure from Emperor John VIII Palaiologos, forced most Greek hierarchs to sign the false union. Mark refused. They isolated him, threatened him with imprisonment, kept him almost a captive in Venice, publicly insulted him as a “heretic”. When he returned, the people received him as a hero, but the false union had already sown discord that lasted for centuries.

During the Second World War the Vatican of Pope Pius XII (Pacelli) showed its true face. Archbishop Alojzije Stepinac of Zagreb, personal friend of the Pope, was the ideological father of the Croatian Ustashe. Under his blessing the Ustashe slaughtered over 500,000 Serbian Orthodox; priests were boiled alive, children forcibly baptised into Catholicism. The Vatican not only did not condemn it, but received Pavelić in audience after the war and helped hundreds of war criminals escape via the infamous “Ratline” to Latin America. Pius XII himself, the so-called “Hitler’s Pope”, signed the Concordat with Nazi Germany in 1933 and never excommunicated Hitler or Mussolini.

The Vatican Bank (IOR) from 1942 onward became the central hub for money laundering. It was linked to the Sicilian Mafia (Michele Sindona, Licio Gelli, Roberto Calvi of Banco Ambrosiano), to the notorious “Lodge P2”, to the scandal of Calvi’s death under Blackfriars Bridge in London in 1982. Hundreds of millions of dollars from drugs, arms and human trafficking passed through the Institute for Religious Works, always with the Vatican’s tolerance.

Ecumenism of the 20th and 21st centuries is the modern version of the Unia. Popes such as John Paul II and Francis promote the “union of the Churches” on terms of complete submission of Orthodoxy. Meetings in Balamand, Ravenna, the Charta Oecumenica, documents recognising the Pope as “first among equals” or “first without equals” – all are steps toward absorption. At the same time the Vatican finances NGOs that promote globalisation, the abolition of national borders, the agenda of the New World Order.

The calendar issue of 1924 was not merely astronomical. Patriarch Meletios Metaxakis, friend of the Venizelists and financed by Western embassies, imposed the new calendar with military violence. Priests were imprisoned, monasteries destroyed, the people beaten. Many historians see behind this move pressure from the Vatican and the Anglican Church for a “common Easter” as the first step toward union.

In the European economic crisis of 2009-2015 the Vatican, through its presence in the European Investment Bank and its ties with German and French banks, indirectly supported the austerity policy that struck Orthodox countries hardest (Greece, Cyprus, Serbia). The Cyprus haircut of 2013, imposed by the troika, had the Vatican as a moral instigator that wished to crush the Orthodox economic autonomy of the island.

As for the dark accusations of Satanism: there is irrefutable evidence of black-magic rites inside the Vatican during the era of Paul VI (1963-1978). Swiss bishop Michel Sarié and exorcist Fr Gabriele Amorth spoke openly of a “Satanist sect” within the Curia. The paedophilia scandal revealed from 2002 onward was not merely sexual crimes; in many cases (Boston, Ireland, Australia, Chile) it was linked to ritual abuse and Satanic symbols. The Vatican concealed thousands of files and systematically transferred the perpetrators instead of handing them over to justice.

The Mafia and the Vatican were never separated. Calogero Vizzini, Leoluca Bagarella, Bernardo Provenzano – all had accounts at the IOR. Cardinal Marcinkus, president of the Vatican Bank 1971-1989, admitted: “You cannot run the Church on Hail Marys alone.” When Italian justice sought to arrest him, the Vatican granted him immunity.

Within this historical framework, every handshake of a Pope with an Orthodox Patriarch, every “joint declaration of love”, every “prayer together” in Assisi or in Cuba, is nothing but the continuation of the same policy that began in 1099 in Jerusalem, continued in 1204 in Constantinople, and marches on with Stepinac, Pacelli, Marcinkus and the present age of globalisation: for the Papists, on the basis of indisputable historical evidence, Orthodoxy must either submit or perish.

I. SPECIFIC CANONS CONCERNING THE PASCHALION

1. Canon Ζ΄ (7th) of the Holy Apostles

If any bishop, or presbyter, or deacon shall celebrate the holy day of Pascha before the spring equinox together with the Jews, let him be deposed. But if a layperson, let him be excommunicated.

Concerning the holy Pascha, that we should not celebrate it together with the Jews, but that all should celebrate alike on the same day. For if we celebrate with the Jews, we are no longer Christians, but we Judaize. Wherefore we have decreed that henceforth we no longer celebrate with the Jews, but with the Church. But if anyone should dare to transgress against the dogma of the faith and this salvific celebration, whether he be a priest or a cleric, let him be deposed; but if a layperson, let him be excommunicated.


3. Canon Α΄ (1st) of the Local Council of Antioch (341 A.D.)

All who dare to violate the definition established by the holy Council held in Nicaea concerning the time of the feast of holy Pascha or what follows therefrom, let them be excommunicated and aliens from the Church, if they persist contentiously in opposing what has been rightly decreed. And let this be said concerning laypersons. But if any of those presiding over the Church—a bishop, or presbyter, or deacon—after this definition established by the Council, should dare, for the perversion of the peoples and the disturbance of the churches, to act independently and to celebrate with the Jews, the holy Council has judged such a one from now on to be an alien from the Church, owing an account not only for himself but also for those who dare with him to cause disturbance.


II. GENERAL CANONS CONCERNING JOINT PRAYER AND COMMON WORSHIP

A bishop, or presbyter, or deacon who has only prayed together with heretics, let him be excommunicated alone; but if he has also permitted them to perform any clerical function as clerics, let him be deposed.


5. Canon ΞΔ΄ (64th) of the Holy Apostles

«Εἴ τις κληρικὸς ἢ λαϊκὸς εἰσέλθῃ εἰς συναγωγὴν Ἰουδαίων ἢ αἱρετικῶν προσεύξασθαι, ὁ μὲν κληρικὸς καθαιρέσθω, ὁ δὲ λαϊκὸς ἀφοριζέσθω.»

If any cleric or layperson should enter a synagogue of Jews or of heretics to pray, let the cleric be deposed, and let the layperson be excommunicated.


6. Canon Ι΄ (10th) of the Fourth Ecumenical Council (Chalcedon, 451 A.D.)

It is not permitted for a cleric or layperson to pray with heretics or schismatics, neither in a house nor in a church, neither in one’s own building nor in a foreign one, but let them be entirely cut off from the Church everywhere, unless they repent.


7. Canon ΛΓ΄ (33rd) of the Quinisext Council in Trullo (692 A.D.)

9. Council of Constantinople (1484 A.D.) – Full Decision

The Holy Synod of the Church of Greece, having convened in its session of March 15, 1972, decided that the sacred canons of the Church, which prohibit joint prayer with the heterodox, remain in full force without exception even today. For the heterodox, and especially the Papists, not only did not accept the decisions of the Ecumenical Councils, but also added new heresies, such as the Filioque, the primacy of the Pope, unleavened bread, purgatorial fire, etc. Wherefore it is not permitted for the Orthodox to pray jointly with them, neither in the great feasts, nor in common events, nor in common services, nor in common prayers, nor in common blessings, nor in common tables, nor in common gatherings, nor in common conversations, nor in common agreements, nor in common confessions of faith, nor in common baptisms, nor in common ordinations, nor in common liturgies, nor in common prayers, nor in common blessings.


IV. DETAILED INTERPRETATION BY SAINT NICODEMUS THE HAGIORITE (from the Pidalion)

A. On Canon Ζ΄ of the Apostles

«Ὁ κανὼν οὗτος οὐ μόνον τοὺς Ἰουδαίους ἀπαγορεύει, ἀλλὰ καὶ πάντας τοὺς αἱρετικοὺς καὶ σχισματικούς. Διότι τὸ Πάσχα εἶναι ἡ ἑορτὴ τῶν ἑορτῶν, καὶ ἡ κορυφὴ τῆς πίστεως. This canon prohibits not only the Jews, but also all heretics and schismatics. For Pascha is the feast of feasts, and the summit of the faith. Wherefore joint celebration with the heterodox is a denial of the Orthodox faith. The Latins, having innovated the paschalion and celebrating with the Jews, are schismatics and heretics. Wherefore it is not permitted for the Orthodox to celebrate with them, neither in the Resurrection, nor in the Liturgy, nor in the Vigil, nor in common prayers, nor in common blessings.


B. On Canon Ζ΄ of the First Ecumenical Council

The Council of Nicaea decided not only on account of the Jews, but on account of all the heterodox. For Pascha is the feast of the Resurrection, and the Resurrection is the foundation of the faith. Wherefore joint celebration with the Latins is a denial of the Orthodox Resurrection. The Latins, celebrating with the Jews and having innovated the calendar, are schismatics. Wherefore it is not permitted for the Orthodox to celebrate with them, neither in the Resurrection, nor in the Liturgy, nor in the Vigil.


C. On Canon Α΄ of Antioch

The canons 45 and 64 of the Apostles, 10 of Chalcedon, 33 of Trullo, 14 of the Second Ecumenical, prohibit not only joint prayer, but also common worship, common feast, common blessing, common table, common bed, common bath, common journey, common transaction, common dwelling, common association, common conversation, common agreement, common confession of faith, common baptism, common ordination, common liturgy, common prayer, common blessing. Wherefore it is not permitted for the Orthodox to celebrate Pascha with the Latins, neither in the Resurrection, nor in the Liturgy, nor in the Vigil, nor in common prayers, nor in common blessings.


OPEN LETTER TO THE ECUMENICAL PATRIARCH OF CONSTANTINOPLE

With paternal sorrow we write the lines that follow, having by the grace of God the awareness of our deficiency as regards repentance, formation, and our Orthodox life in the Holy Lord Jesus Christ our God. Concerning the particular and indeed eschatological matters of the Antichrist in this globalizing age, and also the fact that the Throne of the Ecumenical Patriarchate is located within a state and nation especially hostile and foreign to the Faith of pious and Orthodox Christians and to Hellenism everywhere on earth…

These are circumstances — we want to believe, prudently and not imprudently — for which you too, without the relevant pressures, threats and intimidations, in many decisions and actions contrary to or distinguishable from the Holy Orthodox Tradition, would not have acted, collaborated or participated. On the contrary, even walking on the razor’s edge of Orthodox Faith and Truth and standing on precipices on all sides… given also that “to be Orthodox is ever to walk a tightrope,” and recognizing, sympathizing and sharing in the exceedingly heavy Cross which you bear as Ecumenical Patriarch — especially in this eschatological era of the middle of the eighth millennium since the creation of the world —

yet nevertheless, always by duty and out of reverence, with fear and trembling before the Holy Lord Jesus Christ the only God, as the least members of the one Most Holy Orthodox Church — with much love and compassion but also with truth and discretion, by the grace of God (we want to believe) — we write the following.

As children to a father, we ask:

A) Why in the Synod of Kolymvari did you write the heresies…churches, when neither in the sense of the Orthodox Churches can we equate them, but MAINLY because the Symbol of Faith — which surely constitutes the dogmatic epitome of the Seven Holy Ecumenical Councils — explicitly and ORTHODOXLY refers to ONE Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church, that is, that outside of it there is no other Church of God, nor is there, nor does it exist, with the result that the phrasing becomes a springboard for equating the One Church with heresies, and the patching clarifications do not suffice to repair this dogmatic and theological error. Pardon me to venture to say: an impropriety! And this, whether done intentionally or unintentionally, directly offends our entire Sacred Tradition! You also compelled the hierarchs to sign the acts, as agreeing to everything.

Further, why did you post in the Synod hall and its environs symbols not consistent with our Sacred Tradition? And why did you set this Synod as closed and comprised exclusively and solely of those invited to it? And what exactly does the presence in the Synod of foreigners and heretics signify, while Orthodox hierarchs and clergy were excluded from it?

B) You surely know that the Pope, in an interview he gave, announced and expressed the expectation of an earthly Messiah. His statements:

“People, very soon the ‘Son of God’ will come, who will bring us peace. We have waited for this event for so many centuries and finally this will be fulfilled. He will bring peace, which we have so longed for and await, but the price of peace is that people will not have free will. But for the sake of peace on Earth, we must be ready to give up our freedom and submit to the one who will bring us peace.

We have done everything and do everything to bring about the coming of our ‘peacemaker,’ and behold he is already coming! He will bring us a new political reality to which we must all submit. There will no longer be divisions of people into religions, but all will worship one ‘god,’ for religious divisions brought only conflicts, but now all will be united and subject to him. Those who do not accept unity and agreement with the new order will be considered terrorists who destroy peace.

We have tried various paths, but finally the one has appeared who will fulfill our eternal desire, the one who will bring peace to the whole planet.”

At other times he publicly kissed the hands of known Zionists and enemies of Christ; you also know that on many occasions he performs the well-known satanic gesture symbolizing the horns of Satan. Therefore this man or this office — and because the Holy Lord and God and Savior Jesus Christ tells us that by the fruit we will know the tree — appears manifestly, plainly, and brazenly, and with impudence and audacity unrepentant; there is no way even mentally that he would align with anything Orthodox or submit to the Sacred Tradition of Orthodox Faith and Truth; and especially because by these acts he blasphemes directly against the Holy Spirit of God the Holy and Living, which you surely know is the only unforgivable sin, working out for the sinner judgment, destruction and annihilation, especially for the unrepentant participant in it.

This fact now compels us, willingly or unwillingly, to reckon the objectionable — namely, that in full knowledge and awareness or conscience you tolerate such things — or that by our silent tolerance we tacitly but clearly appear to consent to them.

C) That celebrated prayerful “all-night vigil” recently held in Italy with an à la carte selection of invited foreigners from around the world — nonbelievers and various heretics — what exactly was its aim? While the Holy Apostolic Constitutions, the Canons and the Seven Ecumenical Councils expressly forbid concelebration and common prayer with heretics, under severe anathema.

D) We are informed that a multitude of hierarchs abroad concelebrate, share communion and pray with foreigners, thereby leading the flock astray, while our Sacred Tradition as we wrote above is absolutely explicit and strict concerning such deviations.

E) Why did you tolerate even the suspicion of defamation of the reputation of that humble and very learned and steadfastly Orthodox and holy man, Archbishop Demetrios of America, regarding the scandal of the mismanagement of donations for the reconstruction of the Holy Church of Saint Nicholas, while the whole world knows exactly what has happened and who and how are responsible for that matter, and which of them remain unrepentantly within the bosom of the Holy Archdiocese of America.

In his attempt to rely on the old … And why did you tolerate such an architectural design of the new Holy Church which is foreign to our Sacred Tradition? And in which, as we were informed, recently a gathering was organized with the title “evening of… [sic]”!

F) Why do you tolerate within the bosom of the Church clergy who publicly acknowledge as parents openly declared sodomites — at the same time that you rightly suspend and remove from office a major Patriarchal Archimandrite whose hand… was investigated for material elements — are sins against inanimate things lighter than those against living persons?

Those little children who were baptized in the Name of the Creator of Heaven and earth and all things in them, and who made man, male and female, and commanded them to be fruitful and multiply and to form Orthodox families — what will they see, what will they hear, and what will they live in this house, in what family in the Name of the Almighty God ( “tremble, O sun; sigh, O earth”) and in what exactly have we cooperated, intentionally or unintentionally…and truly, what will be our reward for this?

Instead of denouncing as a Church such kinds of “sponsors” — rather “tolerances” to say the least — and “families” and entirely refraining from any related rite, lest in this matter too, willingly or unwillingly, we have all blasphemed against the Holy Spirit by participating and tolerating?

G) Concerning the work of canonizing the new Saints of the Orthodox Faith, I respectfully submit that, based on the Sacred Tradition of our Church, in those cases in which it is established that a candidate for canonization has taught or written in disagreement with Orthodox Faith, in no case is their canonization appropriate — even if he worked miracles in his life — otherwise it is as if we praise or accept heterodox teachings in the Church. And perhaps — alas — we may reach the point of choosing which Saint and which icon we will venerate and which we will not.

To this I would also take the opportunity to ask about the canonization of Patriarch Anthimos III (1822–1824), who was a Confessor and of blameless life, an uncompromisingly Orthodox Patriarch. Therefore I humbly beseech you, as the least member of the Church, to bring his file up to date and for consideration in favor of his canonization.

H) Regarding the Esphigmenou (Esphigmenites) under Methodios — as to their perceptions and methods I disagree; indeed, recently the Abbot of the Holy Monastery denied even the sanctity of the Venerable Elder Paisios — however, and forgive me, I much more disagree with sending the police against them, flogging them, and isolating them into decay and exhaustion. Nor do I agree with police rule and policing on Mount Athos, nor with the appointment of the present commander about whom we are informed that he was a former head of the National Intelligence Service (E.Y.P.). As you understand, all of this insults and cruelly degrades the unique polity [of Mount Athos]. Certainly the place must be protected from profane and threatening elements, but in no case in this manner. I realize there are issues, and indeed serious ones, regarding the Russian element and its influences on the basis of Slavic internationalism (we know well that the Russians covet Jerusalem, Mount Athos and the Patriarchate); but that does not mean that because of these things we should crush Greek Orthodox monasticism. It is a fact that they have “planted” many “embassies” in various places and exert influence, but the solution will be given in another way, not this one; and frankly, all this reality and truth, forgive me to say, does not forgive the recognition of the former schismatics in Ukraine. Saint Anthimos the III, the Great, as the late Georgios Lampakis called him, and whose canonization I hereby request, never lowered the banner of Orthodox Faith and Tradition before any worldly power and authority; this he endured in prison, torture and exile. I sincerely and modestly pray that we may be joined to him!

I) The mark has already begun, as you possibly know… the method is called isotopic marking and is carried out in the process of issuing the new electronic identity card: where, during the photographing of the face, a laser beam is emitted on the forehead which invisibly but scan-detectably inscribes into the barcode system the number of the beast, 666, as the unique identifying number in the worldly (apparently, based on the signs of the times and even in the ecclesiastical) authority. In other words, the cataloguing and numbering of man into the accursed Antichrist system is already taking place, as our holy ones, old and new, have warned, and which is said to be associated with the supercomputer of Brussels (artificial intelligence and modern information systems), whose initial letters paradoxically are B.E.A.S.T. (BEAST: THERION, Revelation ch.13 vv.17-18). Yet few shepherds have prevented the flock from this most certain and irreversible slaughter and destruction.

WHY THE SLAVS ARE NOT TRUE FRIENDS OF ORTHODOX ELLENISM

Let the criminal assassination of Truth cease, no matter from whom it comes.

The Orthodox Greek city of Mariupol was destroyed neither by chance nor by war alone; it was deliberately ruined by the combined action of the West and the Slavs – the two faces of the same anti-Christ, Jewish-Zionist coin. From the beginning until today, their one and only real target and enemy has always been Orthodox Hellenism.

P.S. My beloved brothers, did you happen to see today, on the feast of the First Ecumenical Synod, even the slightest mention of the Ellenic Fathers of that Synod on any Slavic, Slavophile, or Slavic-named website? Of course not. And it is in no way accidental. They mortally hate and slander Orthodox Ellenism. I have lived among them, I know them perfectly well – how they think and how they act. This is why they have thrown themselves unrestrainedly into a modern pseudo-theology that, unfortunately, has also infected us.

Know, my brothers, that there has never been, nor is there now, nor ever will be any human being who has expressed and formulated the divine dogmas and the divine teaching more clearly and more vividly than the Holy Apostles and the Holy Greek Fathers of the Church. Do not waste your time, my brothers, on novel and innovative nonsense. Instead, delve deeply into the works of St John Chrysostom (whose unsurpassed exegesis covers the whole of Sacred Scripture) and of all the ancient Fathers. It is a great sin and an even greater delusion that we have marginalised our holy Fathers and now waste our precious time on sweet, hospital-like broths that only prolong the deadly diseases that have overtaken us. The clearest proof of this is the wretched state in which we find ourselves today.

May the epidemic of the Holy Spirit come soon, my good brothers!

From all the above we make one sole exception: the great Orthodox Russian saints (St Paisios Velichkovsky, St Alexander Nevsky, St Sergius of Radonezh, St Seraphim of Sarov, and many others). They not only always honoured Orthodox Hellenism and the Greek Fathers, but even commanded their fellow countrymen to do the same, openly declaring that they received the light of the Faith from the Orthodox Greek Fathers. Those, however, who later succumbed or consciously cooperated with Slavic nationalism did not listen to their saints. The result is that even today they covet Mount Athos, the Ecumenical Patriarchate, and the Holy Places.

The Holy Orthodox Greek Monastery of St Panteleimon on the Holy Mountain Confession for Faith and Fatherland

Never forget, you descendants of the once uncivilised and violent Rus’, that you received the light of the Faith from Orthodox Hellenism. Today you shine as Orthodox Russians with so many great and most-great saints and countless holy shrines. Never forget this!

That monk (the true spiritual elder of the monastery) was the real, canonical, essential abbot – not the one produced by human effort and invention. He was the one who inspired repentance and therefore redemption and the salvation of souls. Souls, not merely bodies, came to him. He knew perfectly well that because of our sins the Russians took the monastery, the Turks took Asia Minor and Constantinople, and if he were alive today he would see the Ecumenists and Masons – the antichrists – doing to the most holy Body of the Church what the Jews once did to the immaculate Body of the Lord.

When he read the life of St Mary of Egypt he saw in it the spiritual fornication of our age, which, however, by the grace of God and decisive repentance, became true preaching, incomprehensible wonders, sanctity, and teaching.

Who will dare contradict my humble soul? Who, being wicked, will raise a word against me? Who will dare show impiety toward what I say?

Here in Greece we say: “The cassock does not make the priest.” Gold, magnificent buildings, fine vestments, typika, and outward forms do not make the Faith.

Faith is truth, essence, humility, sacrifice, offering, love. Faith is the other person, not yourself. Faith is doing what you do not want to do, but you do it because you must – because it is the will of God. In faith you throw yourself aside and honour your brother. In faith you say not “I” but “God.” You place the whole world above yourself. In faith you cast ingratitude away; you lay your entire life at the Lord’s feet. In faith you are not at peace if you are saved while others are lost. You are not at peace if you live better off than others. You are not at peace when you grieve, betray, or sadden God. In faith you give no rights or justifications to yourself.

In faith you say: God suffered and was executed as a criminal – therefore be silent, whatever you suffer is just. For God – the only Holy One who created heaven and earth – in the person of our Lord Jesus Christ endured all this for you.

Do you know what crucifixion means? Scourging, mockery, imprisonment, stripping naked, nailing of the limbs to the wood… for whom? For the sinless God. And you – what are you?

Do you know what the priesthood you bear means? Do you know what the monastic schema you wear means? Do you know what the holy Mysteries, the Church, and most holy Orthodoxy mean?

This is our Lord – crucified.

Away with affectations, false smiles, passionate impassivity, guilty silence, and unacceptable lies.

Humble yourselves. Stand now, from this moment, before the most fearful and dread Judgment Seat of our holy Lord, God, and Saviour Jesus Christ – as though you have no defence on the Day of Judgment!

When the Russians came in great numbers to the Holy Mountain they also brought their own customs and way of life. The hesychastic character of the Holy Mountain began to change with the massive arrivals, the building projects, and the particular social and communal spirit of that people. Had the godless Bolshevik revolution not intervened, not only St Panteleimon’s monastery but the entire Holy Mountain would today be called Russian.

But God did not allow that plan to succeed.

Everything I write is supported by indisputable historical sources (among others, the study by the educator Konstantinidis, copies of which were kept in the library of Manouil Gedeon, as well as other studies and testimonies preserved on the Holy Mountain and in more recent publications).

Today the Russians wish to take over the so-called Ecumenical Patriarchate, claiming that the Patriarch is a hostage of the Turks, of Ecumenism, and of the Zionist-Masonic West. They are not far from the truth in some of these accusations, yet they themselves are not in the truth.

They point out whatever suits them and hide or reject whatever does not.

Apart from the uncanonical elevation of Moscow to a patriarchate (which then triggered a whole series of equally uncanonical patriarchates in the Balkans and elsewhere), they have other serious issues:

  • Russian patriarchs wear the white omophorion (a Latin usage later imitated by some other Orthodox primates in northern Europe).
  • The Institution of Patriarchates is Apostolic and was originally five in number; the Church should have remained with those five ancient, Senior Patriarchates linked to the Apostles and their immediate disciples.
  • In all the ancient Patriarchates there has always been a Ellenic Orthodox Patriarch.
  • The Holy Mountain has from the beginning belonged to Orthodox Ellenism.
  • The Holy Shrines in the Holy Land have always belonged to the Ellenic Brotherhood of the Holy Sepulchre.
  • The Gospels, Acts, and Apostolic Constitutions were written in Ellenic (except St Matthew’s Gospel, which was first written in Aramaic and immediately translated into Ellenic).

All this is not accidental – it is the will of God.

Yet the Russians, with a spirit of rebellion, oppose precisely this divine will. This is their lack of faith and their deviation: they desire to replace Orthodox Hellenism with Orthodox Russianism. That is why they want the Ecumenical Patriarchate, the Holy Mountain, and the shrines in the Holy Land.

We do not hate the Russian people – we love them; they are our brothers in Christ. We only wish they loved us as we love them. We call them to lay down the white omophorion and the patriarchal title (as well as other titles that belong exclusively to the ancient patriarchates), to honour their own great saints who always urged them to respect and honour Orthodox Hellenism, and to cease saying and doing what they now say and do.

Do not think, beloved Russian brothers, that because worldly vultures have fallen upon the corpse of secular Hellenism the Church is therefore in danger. Have you not heard the Lord’s words: “The gates of Hades shall not prevail against it”? When He took His Church away from the unbelieving Jews, He gave it to “a nation producing its fruits” – in the singular, meaning the Greek nation.

Leave aside, therefore, your bad opinion. Show the humility that is fitting, correct your life and your ecclesiastical understanding, and return to the path shown by your own saints.

The Church endured 150 years of Arianism, 100 years of Iconoclasm, and 300 early years overrun by heresies, and now she stands in the midst of the pan-heresy of Ecumenism. Yet the word of the Lord remains unbroken: “The gates of Hades shall not prevail against her!”

The Lord gave His Church to Orthodox Hellenism – to Orthodox Hellenism throughout the world. This is His will, and so He does.

In the end a true, canonical Eighth Ecumenical Council will be convened, the heretics will be removed, and good order will be restored – after the great war, by the hand of the great saint and emperor John III Vatatzes, whom the Lord will raise up for this purpose.

Until then: may the ancient patriarchates always have Greek patriarchs, the Holy Mountain always remain Greek Orthodox, and the Holy Land shrines always remain under the Greek Brotherhood of the Holy Sepulchre.

I have offered you a rich spiritual meal. There is no valid rebuttal to what I have written.

The Patriarch Is Dangerous

Lamentation, mourning, and great sorrow. The Ecumenical Patriarch of the Orthodox Catholic Church, Fr. Bartholomew, has in essence joined the all-heretical Papism. With all the anti-Orthodox actions he continues to commit, and especially with the abhorrent events that took place in our days in Nicaea and during the so-called Throne Feast of the Ecumenical Patriarchate, the Patriarch presents the Pope as his superior. He constantly placed the Pope at his right hand, and in his addresses, he regarded the Pope as the canonical Bishop of Rome. Moreover, during the Patriarchal Liturgy, the Pope was commemorated as the "Most Holy Bishop of Rome."

In the past as well, when the then-Pope visited Lesbos to appear as a global philanthropist through his courtesies toward foreign refugees and migrants, Patriarch Fr. Bartholomew and Archbishop of Athens Fr. Hieronymos accompanied the Pope honorifically as his extras, with international publicity.

The Patriarch is extremely dangerous and must be deposed or declared fallen as soon as possible, because he disrupts pan-Orthodox unity while striving for a false unity with the Antichrist Papism. With the pseudo-holy Synod of Crete (June 2016) and his granting of pseudo-autocephaly to his personal pseudo-church in Kyiv from deposed, unordained, self-ordained, anathematized, and schismatic individuals, he has created many schisms throughout Orthodoxy. Now, additional schisms will be added due to what happened in Nicaea and in the Patriarchal Church, if the despiser of Orthodoxy, Fr. Bartholomew, remains in his position.

Despite the brainwashing of public opinion carried out by disreputable media outlets, reactions continue for the preservation of our Faith. Mr. Ilias D. Kallioras, PhD, Professor of International Relations, Author, and former MP for Phthiotis, described the recent unacceptable events mentioned above as "foul, heretical, and horrific."

To the great shame and striking condemnation of Patriarch Fr. Bartholomew, I quote one of the many characterizations of Papism by our Holy Father Nektarios, Bishop of Pentapolis the Wonderworker: "The Popes became the evil demons of the Eastern Church and of the Greek Nation."
